2025 Cadillac XT5 Trim Levels
If you're shopping for a new luxury SUV, consider adding the Cadillac XT5 to your shortlist. This midsize SUV is an excellent all-rounder that can meet the needs of all kinds of drivers, from individuals to families. It features punchy engines that deliver an engaging driving experience, a stylish exterior that commands attention, and a lavishly appointed cabin that makes every trip a true pleasure. For 2025, the XT5 is available in three trim levels to cater to different budgets and lifestyles. Let's take a look at this Cadillac XT5 trim comparison to determine which model is right for you.

XT5 Luxury

With a base MSRP of $44,295, the Luxury is the most affordable variant in the 2025 Cadillac XT5 lineup. Despite being the entry-level trim, this model comes with a potent engine, an upscale interior, and a generous list of tech and safety features. This makes it one of the best value propositions in the luxury midsize SUV segment.

The XT5 Luxury gets its power from a lively 2.0-liter turbo-four engine rated at 235 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. This power plant pairs with a nine-speed automatic transmission to send power to the front wheels. You can get the optional all-wheel drive for an additional $2,000. Fuel economy ratings for the base engine are 22/29 mpg (city/highway) with front-wheel drive and 21/27 mpg with all-wheel drive.

On the outside, the Luxury comes with LED headlamps, LED daytime running lights, heated side mirrors with integrated turn signals, Bright Brushed Aluminum roof rails, and a power lift-gate. It rides on 18-inch alloy wheels with Bright Silver finish, but it can also be fitted with 20-inch alloy wheels with Diamond Cut/Android finish or 20-inch gloss black wheels.

The interior of the Luxury isn't only spacious, but it also boasts an extensive list of features that make your journeys more comfortable and convenient. This trim comes standard with synthetic leather upholstery, front bucket seats, power front seats with heating, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, dual-zone automatic climate control, proximity keyless entry, remote start, and a universal garage door opener. The rear seats recline and fold in a 60/40 split to accommodate long objects.

In addition, the base trim of the Cadillac SUV also offers a feature-packed infotainment system to keep you connected and entertained on the road. The system includes an 8-inch touch-screen display, a 4.2-inch driver information center, USB ports, a Wi-Fi hot spot, an eight-speaker Bose sound system, satellite radio, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and Amazon Alexa.

The Luxury variant also comes with a wide range of driver-assistance systems to provide unparalleled peace of mind on the road. These features include forward-collision warning, automated emergency braking, automated high beams, following-distance indicator, lane-keeping assistance, lane-departure alert, front pedestrian braking, front and rear parking assistance, a high-definition rearview camera, reverse automated braking, a safety alert seat, a rear-seat reminder, and teen-driver monitoring.

The rear-seat alert can be a lifesaver as it reminds you to check the rear seats for children and pets before getting out of the vehicle. If you have a teenager who has just started to drive, you can use teen-driver monitoring to set speed and audio volume limits for them.

XT5 Premium Luxury

The Premium Luxury trim of the 2025 Cadillac XT5 costs at least $50,595. Similar to the Luxury, this model comes standard with the 2.0-liter turbo-four engine, a nine-speed automatic transmission, and front-wheel drive.

However, you have the option to upgrade to the available 3.6-liter V-6 that develops 310 horsepower and 271 lb-ft of torque. This power mill is worth the extra cost as it's noticeably more powerful than the standard unit. In a Car and Driver test, an earlier version of the XT5 equipped with the V-6 and all-wheel drive took only 6.1 seconds to sprint from zero to 60 mph. Then again, it's slightly thirstier than the turbo-four, returning 19/26 mpg with front-wheel drive and 18/26 mpg with all-wheel drive.

The Premium Luxury receives all the exterior features of the Luxury, plus 20-inch alloy wheels with Diamond Cut/Android finish, driver-side auto-dimming power side mirrors with integrated turn signals, illuminating door handles, rain-sensing windshield wipers, a power sunroof, and a hands-free power lift-gate. On the inside, it adds genuine leather seats, a driver's seat with memory settings, a power tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel with heating, ambient lighting, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, a wireless device charger, a 14-speaker Bose audio system, navigation, blind-spot detection, and rear cross-traffic warning.

Moreover, choosing the Premium Luxury unlocks an array of standalone options, such as cooled front seats, tri-zone automatic climate control, and cabin air ionization. It also gives you access to the Technology Package, which comprises an 8-inch digital gauge cluster, a head-up display, a 360-degree camera system, automated parking assistance with braking, rear pedestrian detection, and a rear camera mirror with washer.

XT5 Sport

Starting at $57,915, the Sport is the performance-oriented trim of the Cadillac XT5. It offers the 3.6-liter V-6 engine, all-wheel drive, and a nine-speed automatic transmission as standard equipment. Additionally, it's fitted with a variety of performance-enhancing features, such as a performance-tuned suspension, twin-clutch Sport Control all-wheel drive, a heavy-duty cooling system, a 3:49 axle ratio, and front Brembo performance brakes. It also gets 20-inch alloy wheels with Pearl Nickel finish. Other than that, the Sport has basically the same standard and optional features as the Premium Luxury.
